How can we be certain that Christianity or Islam is the true path?

Answer: It is all about Jesus!

John 10:23-30 And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch. Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”

It has been well said that Christ-followers (disciples) were the first people to clearly understand, the inconceivable-to-the-human mind truth, that God the Creator so loved them that He died for them so they could be restored back into a loving family relationship with their Creator.

All other religious systems are created by either a god who does not care about them or a god who demands allegiance by force. These deities demand sacrifice, pain and suffering to appease the deity. All other religious systems, except Christ-followers are based upon works and fear. The followers of these systems MUST follow a certain set of rules and sacrifices to bring with them to a Judgment Day. At this day all their works and sacrifices are weighed in some scale or balance to determine if their Good Works exceeded their Bad Works. The followers of every other religious system or order NEVER have any assurance that they have done enough good works! Each of these followers must face death with great fear because they cannot know if they have the “proper amount of good works” to attain heaven or hell.

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Not only did Jesus, as God the Creator of all things, make you in His own image, but He is LOVES you so much that He died for you so that you can live forever in heaven with Him.

This love of God the Father was demonstrated by sending Jesus, God’s very own Son, to die in the place of the separated family members to pay the death penalty for their sins. God the Son gladly suffered and died to accomplish this reconciliation of all the fractured family members who will simply believe and trust in Jesus and follow Him.

Following are just a couple of the many verses in the Bible which declare the above LOVE OF GOD for His separated family members and the truth about Jesus’ dying to save the lost and separated members of God’s family to reconcile them back into His holy family / relationship:

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Romans 5:6-11 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly [this includes you and me and every human being]. For scarcely for a righteous man

will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Any and every person who comes to believe in Jesus Christ, must be FIRST spiritually “born again” to believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that Christianity is the right path.

This truth involves not only the mind but also includes the will and emotions (personality).

We hope the above summary information of the “love of God” for you and all mankind helps to answer your question: How can we be certain that Christianity or Islam is the true path?

No other deity in any other religious order or system [all such systems were invented by man NOT God] apart from Christianity is declared to love and died for His creatures.

Christ-followers do NOT have to earn by their own “holiness or good works” His love and affection. God the Father and God the Son already proved forever His love for us by dying for us and paying our death penalty so we can be reconciled to holy God and live with Him forever in perfect joy, peace and pleasure.

Summary: The following are the two critically important questions which must precede the correct answer to your Christianity vs Islam question: 1.) Is Jesus a true or false prophet? 2.) Have you been born again?

Truly, it is all about Jesus!

1 John 5:12-13 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
