Salvation is Trusting . .
. . in the Person, Jesus Christ!
Salvation is trusting the Person, Jesus Christ, in an exclusive attachment where Jesus becomes one’s Lord, Savior and Friend. This exclusive attachment might best be illustrated by the earth being exclusively attached to the sun by an all-powerful gravitational force. God ordained that the earth only moves within its assigned orbit, its assigned place of attachment to the sun.
So it is with a person who has been SAVED through spiritual rebirth which Jesus declared was the critical component of salvation.
– John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
In this “spiritual new-birth” the Holy Spirit of Christ enters into a person. Immediately, at that very moment, one is forever fixed in an assigned relationship with Jesus Christ resulting in a personal exclusive attachment to Him.
When this spiritual rebirth occurs, all of one’s life choices and actions are NOW influenced by the “pull of Christ’s righteousness” to keep one in the proper orbit of living out a Christ-like life in this dark, Christ-rejecting world.
Jesus is God. Jesus came into this world as Perfect Man to die to save sinners.
- 1 Timothy 1:15 Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners,
His death and shed blood on the Cross paid the price for my sin and for the sins of all who believe, trust and follow Him.
- Ephesians 1:7 In Him [Jesus] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.
. . in His Provision.
Trusting that the shed blood of Jesus Christ is the saving provision for my soul. Jesus took my place in judgment and death.
- 1 Peter 1:18-21. . knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
. . in His Promises.
Trusting that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ sealed a promise from God that He will raise me from the dead and bring me to Himself in heaven for all eternity.
- John 14:1-3 [Jesus said] “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
- Romans 5:6-10 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
. . our Prayer for you.
We prayed for you as we sent this answer. The most important eternal statement was declared by the Lord Jesus Christ to Nicodemus some 2000 years ago in Jerusalem: – John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
The most important question you will ever be asked because your eternal destiny depends upon your answer: “Have you been born again?”
All people born into the world will spend all eternity in either heaven in perfect joy and peace or in hell in perfect pain and regret.
If you have had a “stirring in your heart”, a conviction of your personal need of the one and only Savior, Jesus Christ, to save you from eternal death and you have chosen by an act of your will to become a Christ-follower and a Christ-lover, please write back and tell us.
Would you like us to continue to pray for you? Please note that request in your reply. All our love to All,
In Christ –
