The significance lies in the far-reaching consequences. If the speculation encourages one to doubt that Jesus Christ is who He declared Himself to be, God the Son, the ONLY WAY to the Father’s home in heaven, then the speculation is tragic!
- John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
- 1 Timothy 6:20-21 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee.
True Science: True science is based on measurable, observable, and repeatable evidence. Everything that is outside of these observable, repeatable, measurable facts is merely human speculation, theories based upon false assumptions.
You can have your theories/suppositions, I can have my theories / suppositions, but NONE of them, yours or mine, equals TRUE SCIENCE unless the facts fall within the unshakeable boundaries of observable, repeatable and measurable data!
Any information / data which falls OUTSIDE of the fixed parameters of observable, repeatable and measurable definition of True Science, MUST be shifted into the sphere of FAITH because it does not meet the standard of true science.
Evolutionary Theory is exactly as is labeled: Theory! It requires FAITH to accept the evolutionary theory as true. It takes an unimaginable amount of faith and foolish speculation to accept Evolutionary Theory as true and then base one’s eternal life upon that FAITH.
God, alone, was the Beginning and Creator of all Life, Matter, Time and Space. Since no human being was present at the Origin of the universe, and the Origin cannot not be measured, observed or repeated, a fallen human mind can only come up with a “flawed guess” at best.
When one accepts a “flawed guess” in place of the indisputable, inspired Words of Creator God, they exhibit an incredibly darkened FAITH in “false science, so called.” And rebellion against God.
Christ-followers, live by faith. – 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
- Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Christ-followers choose to believe the Bible contains God’s words and accept His Word by FAITH. We, also, base our entire eternal existence in heaven or hell upon our FAITH in the trustworthiness of the Bible as God’s revealed truth.
We want to die with our FAITH rightly placed in God’s Words as opposed to a faith on some theory that denies God and has NO FACTUAL FOUNDATION. ALL evolutionary theories have come about by some man/men’s “recent” ideas who, at best, ONLY LIVED a total of 70 or 80 years or so. No man who presents recent theories of evolution was alive to witness the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth!
We absolutely realize that no one can argue anyone into FAITH or trust in Jesus Christ. We are only presenters of Truth. The truth speaks for itself and is as follows:
- Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God [the Eternal Word, the Spirit which later indwelt Jesus Christ]created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
- John 1:1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him [the Eternal Word], and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
- Colossians 1:15 He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him [the Eternal Word] all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
- Hebrews 1:1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son [Jesus], whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He [the Eternal Word] made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory [God, the Father’s glory] and the express image of His [God, the Father], person and upholding all things by the word of His [the Eternal Word] power, when He had by Himself [Jesus] purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He [Jesus] has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Dear Friend, you have asked a great question. Now you have our faith-filled answer. Please do NOT be led astray by false theories of frail human beings. There is one Creator. He created you, loves you and when you fell [sinned against Holy God] He did NOT leave you with only the fate to go to hell in your rejection. He gives you a choice.
The Eternal Word became flesh, born of a virgin, named Jesus. Jesus lived a perfect life which you and I SHOULD HAVE LIVED and then voluntarily offered His own life in payment of the sin-debt of death which you and I SHOULD HAVE PAID with our own eternal lives.
This Jesus did to give lost and hopeless humanity the opportunity to be reconciled to the heavenly Father so they could be united in perfect love, joy and peace with Him forever.
Because of Jesus’ death in payment for our sins, a person now has the ability to choose what they believe to be true about Jesus Christ. Is He whom He declares Himself to be, the Eternal Word of God who was the Creator of all things and the Sustainer of all life to this very moment?
What you believe to be true about Jesus Christ determines your eternal destiny, either heaven or hell. Will you believe, trust and follow Jesus Christ? We have lived a long life and to this very hour we have never heard ANYONE ever declare they were sorry to have become a Christ-follower and a Christ-lover.
Trust in the One, who is totally unlike any other man. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” [Hebrew 13:8] We can only trust in the ONE who never changes and who was there when time, space and matter was created.
The Bible often declares the frailty of man:
- 1 Peter 1: 24-25 . . because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.”
- James 4:14 . . whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow.
For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
It is the UTMOST foolishness to trust frail men’s theories that attempt to contradict the infinite wisdom and power of Creator God.
